This interactive program aims to acknowledge that collaborative partnership and myJICA Alumni Malaysia is fully committed and serves to provide a platform for the meaningful sharing of and exchange of knowledge, experience, and values gained through the JICA programs between myJICA Alumni Malaysia and MMEA.
Amongst the objectives of the program include; to gain insight of the operations of MMEA office and opportunity to meet MMEA personnel, to strengthen the bond of friendship between myJICA Alumni Malaysia and MMEA, to provide myJICA Alumni Malaysia with a comprehensive briefing on the establishment, functions and roles of MMEA, to understand the Maritime law Enforcement duties of MMEA personnel at sea, and to establish strategic partnership between MMEA and myJICA Alumni Malaysia for future programs/activities.
Highlights of the program was the welcome address by the Head of MMEA Selangor, YBrs Captain Maritime Abdul Muhaimin Muhammad Salleh and briefing of MMEA’s roles and functions, appreciation speech by the President, myJICA Alumni Malaysia, exchange of mementos, tour of the facilities. Further, the delegates had the opportunity to sail in Selangor waters onboard KM DANGA, commanded by Lt Cdr Maritime Muhammad Rasul Abu Bakar. The sailing adventure was an exhilarating blend of thrill for many if not all the delegates, leaving behind an unforgettable first hand journey at sea onboard a MMEA Law Enforcement patrol vessel home ported in MMEA Selangor.
The interaction program successfully achieved its intended objectives, fostering meaningful engagement and mutual understanding between myJICA Alumni Malaysia and MMEA. The positive outcome paves the way towards strengthening commitments to work together towards common goals.
