Sabah Chapter-Sustainable Development Catalyst Education Program

A total of 60 children in Numbak Village have been selected to participate in the SDGs 4 Program: Catalyst Education for Sustainable Development jointly organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency Alumni Society of Malaysia (myJICA) and the Universiti Malaysia Sabah Curriculum and Student Development Center (PKPP) with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Malaysia on 17 December 2022
This program is officiated by myJICA President, Mr Norazizul bin Abdul Aziz. This is an annual event under the coordination of myJICA Sabah. There are a variety of interesting activities that have been held throughout the program including group exercises, motivational talk sessions, cultural appreciation through folk dance, learning through 3M games: Writing, Reading, Counting, exposure to the basic methods of growing vegetables agroponically using recycled equipment and etc. This program was assisted by the students of UMS Baktisiswa Section 1 and 3 Course (EK00303).
The success of these programs is the result of the commitment and cooperation of all parties involved to ensure that these programs can be carried out successfully.

CSR : Mangrove Planting at Kuala Gula

CSR : Mangrove Planting at Kuala Gula has been conducted on 22 July 2023. The program was conducted in collaboration with Perak Forestry Department. Thanks to Mr.Hamzah and the team from Perak Forestry Department for tremendous support. Besides, mangrove planting, myJICA alumni got opportunities to visits the charcoal factory.

MYJICA JCD-UKMatsuri 2023

MYJICA in collaboration with Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), UKM organised UKMatsuri 2023 on 4 July 2023 at UKM. Among the activities are Cosplay Parade, Forum Opportunities for local Japanese speaker, cosplay fashion show, karaoke contest, origami, kana, calligraphy, Japanese craft, fan art contest and food demonstration.
